Because of their expertise, the research laboratories of the Physics Department promote university research through regular privileged relationships with industrial partners:
In addition, the laboratories of the Physics Department are involved in the valorization of research through the filing of patents, which are beneficial to companies and the dissemination of their advances in specialized international journals. They are also internationally recognized for their work in advanced fields: nanotechnologies, biophotonics, polymer structure, etc. by joining forces with other French or foreign laboratories and by working closely with the various research organizations of the University of Lille (IEMN, LIFL, etc.)
